To accommodate your under-mounted sink cut out we recommend our clients to go for drainer grooves and a tap hole. Precisely etching fluted grooves into drainers makes sure that water flows into the sink and therefore, limiting the build-up of water on the kitchen worktop. With the sink cut out and drainer grooves will be an approximate 35mm cut out for the tap.
Alternatively to the drainer grooves is a recessed drainage panel and groove combination. An area by the sink is grinded down to a choice of depth where slanted drainer grooves are etched and this is a great way to keep the rest of the worktop dry.
Cooker splashbacks and upstands will complete the worktop whilst also providing protection of your cooking area. Upstands are usually 100mm high but can be made to the size of your choice. The wall area between the worktop and top cabinets can be completely covered as they act as a great alternative to tiles.
Pan stands can be placed into the worktop and are a great area for you to place hot pans and trays without ever having to use heat mats.
Made to measure socket cut outs are made in the upstands whether they be in stone or glass.
